Recently, Jiangsu Ni'ao Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd., a direct-invested enterprise of Nanjing Innovation Investment Group, has completed a Series A+ round of financing worth nearly 100 million yuan. This round was led by Jinpu Intelligent, a well-known domestic venture capital institution, with follow-up investments from Guangzhou Industrial Investment and Wanlian Guangsheng. Existing shareholders of the company, including Nanjing Innovation Investment Group and Yida Capital, continued to increase their investments. The funds raised in this round will be mainly used for the large-scale mass production of thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) optical chips and the technological layout in cutting-edge fields such as next-generation optical interconnection for intelligent computing clusters, lidar, and optical computing. This will further consolidate Ni'ao Optoelectronics' global leading position in the field of TFLN optical chips.

Thin-film lithium niobate is a high-performance optoelectronic material with advantages such as ultra-fast electro-optic effect, wide bandwidth, and low power consumption, showing great potential in fields like 5G communication and quantum computing. Key technologies including large-size lithography, ultra-low loss waveguide processing, and heterogeneous integration have driven the development of TFLN modulators, enabling them to support the application of 800G and 1.6T high-speed optical modules. Currently, the commercialization process of TFLN modulators is advancing rapidly, and large-scale mass production is about to be realized. A number of companies have applied this technology to 800G optical modules. As a high-speed transmission technology, 1.6T optical modules can not only meet the high network bandwidth requirements of artificial intelligence applications but also rapidly increase the market penetration rate of TFLN modulators.
Dr. Cai Xinlun, Founder and Chairman of Ni'ao Optoelectronics, said, "At present, the evolution of AI computing power clusters is facing triple barriers of bandwidth, power consumption, and cost. Thin-film lithium niobate optical chips are an important evolutionary direction for integrated optoelectronic technology to break through the bottlenecks of bandwidth and energy consumption. The TFLN optical chips developed by Ni'ao Optoelectronics are exactly the underlying technological innovation urgently needed by the next-generation intelligent computing centers. The completion of this round of financing marks the capital market's high recognition of Ni'ao Optoelectronics' industrialization capabilities and the thin-film lithium niobate technology route. In the future, we will provide a forward-looking 'optoelectronic engine' for the global technology industry."
Ni'ao Optoelectronics is a high-tech enterprise focusing on the design, R&D, and sales of thin-film lithium niobate modulators and related high-end optical chips. Nanjing Innovation Investment Group has participated in multiple rounds of financing through various managed funds, aiming to accelerate the application of TFLN optical chips in fields such as optical interconnection for AI computing power clusters, optical computing, and lidar. The Group will continue to deepen post-investment services, promote in-depth integration between Ni'ao Optoelectronics and local enterprises, universities, and research institutions in Nanjing, and facilitate the development of related industrial clusters.
